Some new webmasters may not know much about CN2, so let's talk about the CN2 network in detail.

What is the CN2 network?

China Telecom's next-generation bearer network was put into use in 2005. The initial goal was to provide a scientifically constructed, advanced architecture, and more reasonable topology network to meet the needs of replacing the 163 backbone network as a new backbone network in the next 10-20 years.
With the advent of the 5G era, voice, video, big data, Internet of Things, global Internet applications, especially the international Internet, have fewer nodes, lower latency, faster speed, lighter load, and lower packet loss rate than the 163 backbone network.

CN2 networks are of two types: Global Transit (CN2 GT) and Global Internet Access (CN2 GIA).

1. Introduction to CN2 Lines

China Telecom's network is divided into the traditional 163 backbone and the CN2 network. The CN2 network refers to the China Telecom Next Carrier Network, which is abbreviated as "CNCN" and then abbreviated as "CN2".

CN2 lines are China Telecom's high-quality Internet services. CN2 itself is divided into two levels: GT (Global Transit) and GIA (Global Internet Access).

CN2 GT is a mid-range product. It uses CN2 lines for both international outbound and return trips, and still uses the traditional 163 backbone network nodes for domestic routes. It is much faster than the 163 traditional backbone network, but there will still be some congestion during peak hours.

CN2 GIA is a high-end product. It uses CN2 high-speed for both international and domestic outbound and return trips. It rarely has congestion, but the cost is higher.

In addition to different lines, CN2 is also divided into one-way CN2 and two-way CN2. One-way CN2 is to go abroad via CN2 and return via the traditional network, while two-way is to go back and forth via the CN2 network.

2. What is CTGNet GIA [Network used by Wanwei Telecom Hong Kong Server]

CTGnet is a newly constructed international multi-service bearer network by China Telecom Global Company. It provides high-quality Chinese network solutions for domestic and overseas enterprises with high-speed, stable and high-quality Chinese high-quality access networks.

Simply put, it is another latest network line with the same network quality as CN2 GIA. There is no difference between CN2 GIA and CTGnet GIA.

Wanwei Telecom guarantees that if the line information does not match the description, there will be no reason to refund and return it to the original route

Network advantages:

Hong Kong CTG Net What are the advantages of GIA lines?

1. High speed and stability, directly connected to the international backbone network: CTGNet GIA includes CN2 GIA, which connects with more than 100 operators around the world and directly connects with many core operators.

2. International fixed-point optimization, Asia-Pacific coverage in seconds: Supports fixed-point optimization of international links based on the Asia-Pacific backbone network, effectively guarantees international access quality, and meets high-standard communication needs with the mainland

2. What is the 163 backbone network?

Compared with CN2, some people are used to calling the 163 backbone network CN1. The 163 backbone network is the earliest network built by China Telecom. It carries traffic connected to the international for more than 100 million China Telecom users. The 163 backbone network uses AS4134 access bandwidth, and the route starts from 202.97. Chiannnet shows that 163Net belongs to the 163 backbone network in many network testing tools.

Disadvantages: Telecom 163 network is not only a domestic backbone network, but also a domestic overseas export backbone network. However, due to the large number of users and low line optimization, the overseas export lines are often congested and slow, especially during the export peak period at night, which will lead to a high packet loss rate.

a. One-way CN2 and two-way CN2

In addition to the two types of CN2 lines, when purchasing, you must also pay attention to whether CN2 is two-way or one-way.

As the name suggests, the routing nodes of the outbound journey and the routing nodes of the return journey both use the CN2 bearer network.

Usually, one-way CN2 is CN2 for the outbound trip, and the return trip is ordinary telecommunications line, which is slightly inferior to the two-way CN2 in terms of speed.

Wanwei Telecom provides CN2 GIA/GT network for both outbound and return trips [no reason to refund if there is a difference]

“In 1996, China Telecom renamed the Telecom IP backbone network as Chinanet. Because at that time, China Telecom used narrowband dialing (i.e. dialing through telephone lines, which young people today probably have never used), and the access number was 163, so it was called the 163 network, and it had nothing to do with NetEase 163. ”
According to statistics, the 163 backbone network carries 85% of the data traffic in China Telecom's total data connections, and the remaining 15% is carried by the CN2 network.
